Alligators are plentiful here. I happened to catch one at a good time. He looks like he swallowed my flash.
Crocodiles on the other hand,
appear to be on the prowl 24-7 !!!
The long thin snout distinguishes them from the gator.
Not a native Floridian not a tourist...
This is "Iggy". Iggy lives somewhere in my neighborhood. We see him/her once in awhile out strolling the hood.
No one seems to want to get close enough to confirm that it is Mr. Iggy or Ms Iggy....
This one is more like it. Your standard, everyday, run-of-the-mill, plain vanillia, normal, ordinary... lizard. They are everywhere.
My favorite.
Birds are plentiful and common here in south Florida. They range from tiny finches to the Blue Heron.
One of the waders, the Great Blue Heron catches fish in the shallows.
A Sand Hill Crane rather close up. I don't know who was watching whom.
An Osprey Eagle on it's nest at Sanibel Island..
"If not, SCRAM!"
My interpretation is that not all animals enjoy having their photograph taken.
Just for fun...this photo has no redeeming social value... or is it socially redeeming value.
